Veritas Data Research Partners with Northwestern University to Advance Cirrhosis Research

Supporting clinical and academic research is an important part of Veritas Data Research’s mission, and we are excited to work with Dr. Daniela Ladner, MD, MPH, FACS, FAST and her team at Northwestern University on the LIVer cirrhosis – Optimizing Prediction of Patient OuTcomes (LIVOPT) project.
Cirrhosis is a leading cause of mortality in the United States, and Dr. Ladner’s team aims to model cirrhosis progression in the elderly and to predict the risk of disease progression, hospitalization, and death in older patients. Dr. Ladner hopes that accurate and early prediction of mortality and risk of decompensation in elderly patients with cirrhosis will allow for targeted interventions of the most vulnerable patients to improve outcomes.
Veritas is pleased to contribute our best-in-class mortality data to Dr. Ladner’s models to support these important research goals.
