Veritas’ role – controller vs. processor
Veritas acts in different roles depending on the context:
- For website visitors, Portal users, business contacts, and marketing interactions, Veritas acts as a data controller.
- Where customers provide data for matching, cohort evaluation, delivery, or related processing, Veritas acts as a data processor/service provider and processes data only in accordance with the customer agreement and applicable Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
Personal Information Veritas Collects and Why We Collect it
“Personal Information” means information that identifies or can reasonably be linked to an individual. We collect the following categories of Personal Information when you access or use the Services:
- Direct Identifiers – Such as name, email address, business contact details, employer or organization, and IP address.
- We collect this information to:
- create and administer accounts

- We collect this information to:
- Internet & Usage Information – Includes browsing activity, device data, log data, cookies, and usage analytics. For Portal users and APIs, this may include login and authentication events, IP address, session timestamps, audit log entries and API request metadata.
