Veritas Data Research Appoints Jamie Blackport as CEO; Jason LaBonte Transitions to Chief Strategy Officer 

New York, NY — April 15, 2026 — Veritas Data Research today announced the appointment of Jamie Blackport as Chief Executive Officer. Jason LaBonte, the company’s current CEO, transitions into the role of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) to focus on long-term market expansion and high-value initiatives. These leadership changes align with the company’s mission to make critical healthcare information accessible and actionable. Both appointments are effective immediately. 

Blackport, an established board member at Veritas, brings a deep background in the life science sector and in building startups, most notably Mirador Analytics. He has partnered with hundreds of companies across the data ecosystem to drive innovation and operational excellence. As CEO, Blackport will lead the next chapter of growth while ensuring total alignment across strategy, product, and technology. 

In addition to his role as CEO, Blackport will maintain his position as Chairman of the Board at Firinn Data Services, which he co-founded in 2025.

As CSO, LaBonte shifts his focus toward the future of the business. He will lead key initiatives such as the recently announced Public Health Data Consortium, in association with ASTHO. He will also be developing new market opportunities for Veritas.
